It is home to multi-disciplinary research facilities, innovation space for businesses of all sizes, and accommodation for postgraduate students. 

This is cutting-edge research at a major scale. By the end of 2021, there will be approximately 3,000 scientists, clinicians and engineers based here.

A new home for multi-disciplinary research

White City Campus will be a multi-disciplinary research hub like few others. The Molecular Sciences Research Hub (MSRH) means, for the first time, 800 scientists, clinicians, engineers and commercial partners will be together under one roof to advance science in areas like clean energy, chemical biology and healthcare. Next door, the Sir Michael Uren Hub combines the latest in medical research and engineering to improve the treatment and diagnosis of diverse medical conditions. While global corporations including Novartis, Autolus and Synthace are catalysing a life sciences cluster at White City, too.

An innovation ecosystem

There are more than 70 companies based at White City Campus, from start-ups created by Imperial students to scale-ups and large corporations. Sitting right alongside Scale Space, you have the Translation and Innovation Hub (I-HUB), which supports knowledge-intensive companies and the commercialisation of scientific research. Next door, the White City Incubator has become a hub for innovation, providing lab space and support for 20 early-stage, deep-science companies.

A community in action

White City Campus is founded on the belief that corporates, academics and the local community work better when working together. The Invention Rooms is our dedicated space for innovation and the community in White City. The College’s inventors and entrepreneurs make use of specialist prototyping equipment, while local people of all ages and backgrounds can build things, learn to code, develop digital skills and turn their ideas into working prototypes.
